| and the crank broke. The bearings are WAY softer / weaker than the crank. I think you might have another issue with the crank. If i were to guess i'd suspect that the block was not line honed and it needed a line hone. Maybe the block including the girdle was very slightly tweaked due to a previous overheat situation. If you were using ARP Main studs the block most likely needed a line hone. IMO this is not a detonation tuning issue but more of a build issue or problems with the block / crank itself. Harry
